Q the Physicist, a.k.a. Todd Williams, first saw the light of day in August of 2006 at a drum and bass party in Budapest. The DJs had changed as had the music, for the worse, and it was decided then and there to take matters into one's own hands. Initially the idea was to simply make mixes for personal use, but through a quirk of fate, the decision coincided with the urge to be part of the virtual world. Q the Physicist, in fact, started as a virtual DJ in the virtual world, Second Life. Later that same year, an invitation to DJ live at Bullet Shih's art exhibition brought Q to the public. Since that time, a monthly residency at the Budapest bar Klub Vittula, a weekly mix set at Phuture Frequency Radio Drum and Bass Podcast and gigs in Bojkovice and Prague in the Czech Republic as well as gigs in Warsaw and Stalowa Wola in Poland have come to fruition.
